Not ready for a full on cleanse?

It’s Spring!  A time of renewal and rebirth. As we begin this initial phase of our Radiant Health Building Cleanse, I wanted to share my  feelings of optimism and joy that I am experiencing and to give some encouragement.

I know that when I have personally drifted far from the cleansing spectrum, indulging in foods and drink that I know doesn’t promote optimal health, I feel sluggish and sometimes down in the dumps.  And then to make matters worse, when I see or hear of others around me talking about cleansing and exuding their radiance and high energy, I get irritated or annoyed. I know it’s because I am vibrating at a lower frequency. And to be honest, I think that my annoyance stems from feeling a little jealous of their cleansing accomplishments.  Can you relate?

Heart Patients Benefit from Essential Oils

According to a recent study conducted in Korea, researchers found that aromatherapy may have positive effects on heart patients in the intensive care unit. The use of essential oil aromatherapy was shown to have a positive effect on reducing anxiety, increasing sleep, and stabilizing the blood pressure of patients undergoing cardiac stent insertion.*

Researchers at the Eulji University Hospital used a blend of aromatherapy essential oils, including lavender, Roman chamomile, and neroli. The study states that aromatherapy is easy to apply, fast-acting, and has no harmful side effects.

How To Beat the Cold & Flu Season: The “Uh-Oh!” Protocol with Essentail Oils

It seems like everywhere you go this winter, you hear of people getting catching nasty colds or getting the flu. In my experience, if you can catch it early on,  you can avoid it.
If you ever feel like you are getting a sore throat, or have been exposed to others who have had a cold or flu, follow these tips for keeping yourself and your family well.
(By the way, I call it the “Uh-Oh!” protocol, because that is usually what you say to yourselves at that moment you wake up in the morning with a scratchy, sore throat.)

Tip #1: Boost your Thieves usage!
I use the Thieves Spray, and spritz it right in the back of my throat.   The Thieves 3-pack is a great option, as you can keep one at home, one in your purse and one at your office.
If you don’t have the Thieves Spray then *gargle with the Thieves essential oil blend 2-3 times a day.

* Thieves gargle recipe: In a glass or ceramic container (never plastic), fill with 4 oz. of  water and add 2-3 drops of Thieves.
Keep using your Thieves through out the day.  Apply it to the bottoms of your feet, and if you have a diffuser, Thieves will be your best bet to diffuse in your home, office or your yoga studio. For more about Thieves, check out The Secret of Thieves!
It’s a fascinating story how this blend of cloves, cinnamon, lemon, eucalyptus and rosemary got it’s name!

Tip #2  Hydrate and Alkalize!
In the morning and through out the day, drink warm water with a drop of Young Living’s lemon essential oil or fresh squeezed lemon juice. Drink at least 8-10 ounces of water per day.

I also recommend Young Living’s AlkaLime®, a precisely-balanced alkaline mineral complex formulated to neutralize acidity and maintain desirable pH levels in the body.
