According to a recent study conducted in Korea, researchers found that aromatherapy may have positive effects on heart patients in the intensive care unit. The use of essential oil aromatherapy was shown to have a positive effect on increasing sleep, and stabilizing the blood pressure of patients undergoing cardiac stent insertion.*
Researchers at the Eulji University Hospital used a blend of aromatherapy essential oils, including lavender, Roman chamomile, and neroli. The study states that aromatherapy is easy to apply, fast-acting, and has no harmful side effects.
